Stegbreak has to guess from the retrieved information if a given key is correct.

JPHide 0.3 (UNIX):
64-bit header:
24 bits containing message length,
40 bits obtained from the encryption of the first 8 DCT coefficients.
At least 40 bits certainty plus length check.
Blowfish key schedule is image independent.

JPHide 0.5 (Windows);
128-bit header:
48 bits containing original and compressed length,
16 bits duplicated compressed length,
56 bits obtained from encrypted IV (as above),
At least 72 bits certainty plus length checks.
Blowfish key schedule depends on image.
