Detection Framework

Disconcert:
Stdout and stderr on the remote side are redirected to the server.
Server and clients deal gracefully with connectivity losses, temporary or not.
Multiple jobs can run at the same time.


Difficult to find enough machines:
Clients running on a few hundred machines at University of Michigan.
Students are not happy when job runs on a machine they want to use even when niced to 20.
